Torque
The twisting effect produced by a force acting at a distance from an axis; also called torsional moment.
Torque = Force × Perpendicular distance

Torque represents the rotational effect of a force applied at some distance from the axis of rotation. It is the algebraic sum of all twisting moments acting on a body.
